A laser-making machine is an advanced metal design tool that uses laser technology to perform a series of marking functions: etching, processing, oxidizing, discoloration, engraving, or annealing of patterns into a workpiece. Laser machines use high-energy focused laser beams to transfer energy (heat) onto the surface of the workpiece to create colored or black-and-white marks.
Depending on the type of machine used, the wavelength may be higher or lower. Laser markers can be used to mark permanent, precise, and repeatable patterns on almost all kinds of materials including metals, glass, polymer, rubber, ceramics, wood, paper, and stones. Types of laser markers include CO2 lasers, fiber lasers, and UV lasers.
