The Mold Maker plays a crucial role in supporting shop operations by overseeing the care and
maintenance of plastic injection molds. Additionally, they may contribute to troubleshooting, perform
minor repairs, and create fixtures. The role involves setting up and operating tool room equipment to
construct high-precision injection molds and components.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years trade experience as Mold Maker, or related field.
- Must have experience specific to plastic injection molding and tools (1 yr min).
- Candidates need to be self-motivated and independent, ready to “roll up your sleeves.”
- Ability to set own priorities and work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
- Knowledge of mathematics and tool-making principles.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Windows/Office, Mastercam, SolidWorks
Physical Requirements:
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up 50lb with or without assistance.
- Reliable vision and motor skills are needed for the operation of heavy machinery and cutting tools.
- Ability to move easily from one area to another, able to stoop, reach and bend.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near
moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
